Biotechnology Successfully Completes Patient Recruitment for Phase II Trial
of Nemonoxacin for Treatment of Adult Community
Acquired Pneumonia (CAP)
TAIPEI, Taiwan, Aug. 10 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/
-- TaiGen Biotechnology Inc. announces the successful completion of patient
recruitment for the global double-blind Phase II clinical trial of Nemonoxacin (TG-873870) for the treatment of adult
community-acquired pneumonia (CAP). A total of 265 patients have been
admitted to the trial. Completion of the trial data analysis is expected in
the last quarter of 2007. In this trial, the effect of Nemonoxacin
in comparison with levofloxacin, the leading quinolone on the market, is evaluated with both
clinical and bacteriological success rates in treating adult patients with
CAP.
