  • Show-Chung Ho Currently Chairman of SinoPac Financial Holdings, Mr. Ho was previously Chairman of Yuen Foong Yu (YFY), a banking, paper manufacturing, publishing and technology industry business conglomerate. In addition to TaiGen, YFY has invested in companies with proprietary technologies for monoclonal antibodies, gene chips and agricultural biotechnology. Mr. Ho is one of the most respected businessmen in Taiwan and has been playing a significant role in the development of the local biotech industry. He received his MS degree in mechanical engineering from University of Wisconsin and a BS degree from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan.
  • Ming-Chu Hsu, Ph.D. Dr. Hsu founded TaiGen in 2001, after successfully building the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Research Division of the National Health Research Institutes in Taiwan as its founding director. She was also the leader of the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Research Program at the National Science and Technology Program in Taiwan, bringing together 62 academic laboratories to conduct mission-oriented research. Before her return to Taiwan in 1998, Dr. Hsu held the position of Research Director, Oncology and Virology at Hoffmann-La Roche, USA, for over 10 years. Prior to that, Dr. Hsu was an assistant professor at Rockefeller University, New York, and a Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology at Stanford University. Dr. Hsu obtained her Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Hsu has extensive experience in establishing both world-class drug discovery teams and clinical development programs.
  • Weng-Foung Huang, Ph.D. Dr. Weng-Foung Huang received his pharmacy degree from the School of Pharmacy, National Taiwan University in 1972, and his MS and PhD degrees from the University of Minnesota in 1976 and 1979, respectively. Before he joined the National Yang-Ming University (NYMU) in 1994, he has served as Deputy Director General (1981~1985) and Director General of Pharmaceutical Affairs Bureau (1986~1989), and Director General of the National Food and Drug Laboratories (1989~1994) in the Department of Health for 15 years. He was twice elected as the President of Pharmaceutical Society of Taiwan (1995~1997, 2007.1~2011.1). He retired from the National Yang-Ming University in February, 2016, and currently holds the adjunct professor appointments with the NYMU and the National Taiwan University.
    Prof. Huang was the architect of Taiwan’s current pharmaceutical regulatory system, especially in GMP and product registration. He also involved substantially in constructing the drug pricing and reimbursement system under Taiwan‘s National Health Insurance. Dr. Huang has been a key opinion leader to government agencies in the strategic development and investment projects in pharmaceutical industry. His research interests include: health policy evaluation, drug safety, drug pricing and reimbursement in health insurance, health technology assessment (HTA) and development strategies for health care industry.
  • Philip Kuo-Lung Huang
    Mr. Huang joined TaiGen in 2004 as Chief Commercial Officer in Asia and General Manager of TaiGen Beijing. He dedicated to the pharmaceutical field across China and Taiwan markets around 40 years. During his tenure as the Chief Commercial Officer in 2015, Taigexyn® (Nemonoxacin) oral formulation received approval from the China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA). Also, TaiGen signed a Memorandum of Understanding with YiChang HEC Chang Jiang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd to collaborate in research and development of a novel all-oral interferon-free treatment for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in 2016.

    Prior to joining TaiGen, Mr. Huang was with Takeda Pharmaceutical for six years and held a number of positions including Sales and Marketing Director in Beijing, Asia Marketing Strategic Manager in Osaka, and Sales and Marketing Director in Taiwan. Before that, Mr. Huang was with Sandoz (Novartis) Taiwan and MSD Taiwan for 15 years and held various positions, most recently as the Director of Business Development and Product Management. Mr. Huang graduated from Taipei Medical College and is a licensed pharmacist.
